CyberhoodWatch...An Initiative to Proactively Deal With Cyber Crime

Communities and the corporate world today are under attack from a new safe haven for criminals. The Internet is a communication tool new to our society, which allows for law-abiding citizens and businesses to become victims very quickly and sometimes unknown.

CyberhoodWatch has the tools, training and knowledge on how to protect your community/corporate world from online crime. From hacking to stalking, CyberhoodWatch deals with all of your problems.

In the following proposals, you will find a map on how to better your community/corporate world and make it cybersafe. As we have street-proofed ourselves, we must cyberproof ourselves the same way.

Knowing how to respond to cyber crime and how to investigate the same is of the utmost importance for our community/corporate world.

It is important to work with the institutions, which are closest to our lives on a daily basis. Input from police, parents, schools, and the corporate world is needed to make for an easy implementation of this proposal into the community. The question is quite simple.

What is the problem?
The problem is the newest media for communication has a dark side where children, families, corporations and schools fall victim to computer crime or computer misuse.

What are the solutions?
The solution is to use the community/corporate world to help take care of itself through the same means.

How can this be done?
Through education, training and software this problem can make your community/corporate world cybersafe. Police, school staff and families should be trained the basics of computer safety. There are simple steps, which can be taken to ensure a happy online experience.

Police should be trained from all aspects of online investigations. From hard drive recovery, to maintaining evidence, and how to use alternative methods to perform an online investigation.

Open computer labs should be monitored. These exist mainly in education learning institutions. Software is available to implement into these institutions that will allow for certain identification of any culprits that decide to use the computer networks for any criminal reason.

What is the cost?
The cost may come from the software and training. Investigative training is a 1 to 2-day course. It covers the very basic beginnings of computers and network, as well as hacking and creative ways of investigating online crime.

President Tom Warren of Net-Patrol International, Inc., teaches the 2-day course. Courses may be available online or in a learning institute. CyberhoodWatch will supply all material for student reference or records. Tom has worked with police departments around the world in regards to this type of crime. He comes from a police family, which include his grandfather, father, mother, two brothers and himself.

The cost per day may vary depending on location. Online course fees to members of CyberhoodWatch will be waived.

We hope you will consider joining CyberhoodWatch to promote a safe Internet experience for the community/corporate world. Our experience in the field and ability to relate it back to you in a non-technical way will provide you with a learning experience that will remain with you the rest of your life.
